This piece took 6 years to complete. It is both a literal and symbolic representation of my struggle to accept and understand this debilitating disease. A disease I have to battle every day to enjoy the very thing that brings me happiness. The fragility of crystals intentionally represents the perseverance of my passion to create regardless of circumstance.
